                  CONROY APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR                   

Conroy Diamonds and Gold Plc, the AIM-quoted gold explorer, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr C David Wathen as a non-executive director of
the company with immediate effect.

Mr Wathen has been involved in the financial and business sectors throughout
his career. His experience includes retail and corporate finance and
stockbroking. He is a partner in the Sheffield Branch Partnership of Redmayne
Bentley and a director of Archaen Gold Plc and Trans International Oil Limited.
He has previously served as a director, but not during the last five years, in
either an executive or non-executive capacity, of several quoted and private
companies in the U.K., Republic of Ireland and the United States. Mr. Wathen
has confirmed that there is no further information required to be disclosed
under paragraph 17 of the AIM Rules.
