                   ANNOUNCEMENT ON POWER GENERATION 
                     FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2013

Special Notice:

The board of directors (the "Board") and all directors (the "Directors") of 
the Company  warrant that there are no false representations and misleading 
statements contained in, or material omissions from this announcement, and 
severally and jointly accept the responsibility for the truthfulness, 
accuracy and completeness of the contents of this announcement. 

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.10(B) of the Rules Governing 
the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.


Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces 
that, based on the Company's preliminary statistics, as of 31 March 2013, 
total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the "Group") 
amounted to 44.6860 billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 
5.07% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total 
on-grid power generation of the Group amounted to 42.1613 billion kWh, 
representing a decrease of approximately 5.04% when compared to the 
corresponding period of the previous year. 

The Group's power generation of thermal power generation units decreased by 
approximately  7.07% when compared to the corresponding period of the 
previous year attributable to lower overall regional on-grid utilization 
hours of thermal power generation units and the impact brought by planned 
units maintenance. The Group's power generation of hydro-electric power 
generation units increased by approximately 30.58% when compared to the 
corresponding period of the previous year as a result of an increase in 
inflow water in the basin where the generation units situated. Since the 
capacity and efficiency of the Group's wind power generation units were 
enhanced on a year-to-year basis, power generation of the Group's wind power 
generation units increased by approximately 54.06% when compared to the 
corresponding period of the previous year.
