Appointments and Resignation of Directors

The following changes to the Board of directors took place on 9 February 2005.

1. The Board is pleased to announce that Mr William Knight was appointed a
non-executive director of the Company. Mr Knight has considerable experience in
banking and investment management with the Lloyds Bank group and Lazard
Brothers, particularly relating to Asia.

It is confirmed that there is no information to be disclosed under paragraph
6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules.

2. The Board is also pleased to announce that Ms Kathryn Matthews was appointed
a non-executive director of the Company. Ms Matthews is Head of the Portfolio
Strategies Group of Fidelity Investments International, the Manager of the
Company.

Ms Matthews past directorships and partnerships are set out below:-

AXA Global Investors (director)

Santander Global Advisors UK Inc. (director and Chief Executive Officer)

Mercer Investment Consulting (European Partner)

Ms Matthews was a director of a subsidiary company in the Baring Asset
management group prior to it being placed in administration in 1995. Save for
this there is no other information to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2(b) to
(g) of the Listing Rules.

3. Mr Simon Haslam has resigned his non-executive directorship of the Company,
a role he has filled since March 1999. Mr Haslam is the Chief Administrative
Officer of Fidelity International Limited.
