Fidelity Japanese Values plc

The Board of Fidelity Japanese Values plc announces that, as previously stated
in the Company's annual report for the year ended 31 December 2003, Mr Alex
Hammond-Chambers has resigned as Chairman and Director of the Company with
effect from 31 December 2004 and has been succeeded as Chairman by Mr William
Thomson.
