released on 2 April 2003 at 17:20 under RNS number PRNUK-0204031717-744F. The
number of shares allotted should have read 34,876 shares and not 34,896 as
previously announced. All other details remain unchanged. The full amended text

Fidelity Special Values PLC announces that on 2 April 2003 the Company allotted
34,876 ordinary 25p shares at a price of 209 pence per share (which represents
a premium in excess of 2% over the latest net asset value) in respect of the
Fidelity Share Plan and ISA. The new shares will rank pari passu with existing
ordinary 25p shares.
A total of 2,656,452 shares now remain available for issue under the existing
authority.
The total number of ordinary 25p shares now in issue is 43,954,499.
