FINSBURY GROWTH & INCOME TRUST PLC

(the “Company”)

First Interim Dividend

The Company announces that the Board of the Company has declared a first interim dividend of 6.1p per share (first interim dividend 2015: 5.5p per share) in respect of the year ending 30 September 2016. Such dividend will be paid on Wednesday, 11 May 2016 to shareholders on the register on Friday, 8 April 2016. The associated ex-dividend date is Thursday, 7 April 2016.

The 10.9% increase to this first interim dividend of 6.1p per share when compared to the corresponding dividend in 2015, has been made in order to reduce the disparity between the first and second interim dividends.  The second interim dividend is expected to be declared in late September 2016.
