Treasury Shares

The Company announces that following the transfer of 12,243 Treasury shares
from the Treasury Shares Account pursuant to options being exercised under the
Senior Executive Share Option Scheme (please see separate announcement), the
number of `A' ordinary shares of £0.40 each in issue is 33,327,610 of which
1,131,188 (3.39%) are Treasury Shares.

For reporting purposes under the Listing Rules, TR1 the market should exclude
any shares held in treasury.
