EP GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES TRUST plc (the 'Company')

The Company wishes to announce that on 13th September 2004, Dr Sandy Nairn of
Edinburgh Partners Limited, the Company's appointed Investment Manager,
acquired 250,000 Ordinary Shares of the Company. As a result of such
transaction, Dr Nairn is deemed to be interested in 877,000 Ordinary Shares (of
which 591,400 Ordinary Shares are deemed to represent beneficial interests),
representing 3.91% of the Company's issued share capital.
