       COMPLETION OF PURCHASE OF INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS

HSBC Infrastructure Company Limited (the 'Company') is pleased to announce
completion today in relation to the two projects that remained outstanding
pursuant to a Sale and Purchase Agreement entered into with HSBC Infrastructure
Fund and HSBC Infrastructure Limited on 23 March 2006 for the acquisition of
interests in 15 infrastructure projects (the 'Initial Portfolio') at a total
price of £250,060,000 (including outstanding subscription obligations).
