MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company announces that a total of 142,046 conditional 'TSR-based' share
awards were granted on 27 January 2006 under the Rules of the Company's 2006
New Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), which was approved by shareholders at the
Annual General Meeting held on 18 January 2006. Directors of the Company to
whom share awards have been granted are as follows:

These TSR-based awards have been granted at nil consideration and relate to
ordinary shares of 10p each. The vesting of the awards at an aggregate exercise
price of £1 is contingent upon the satisfaction of specified performance
conditions over a fixed five year period ending on 27 January 2011.
