Majedie Investments PLC - Directors' Shareholdings

The Company announces that the following awards to directors were granted on 24
January 2007 under the rules of the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)
as follows:

These matching awards relate to 50% of the bonuses in respect of a special
dividend received from Majedie Asset Management Limited, which were the subject
of a resolution approved by shareholders at last week's annual general meeting.
The awards have been granted at nil consideration and relate to ordinary shares
of 10p each. They have an aggregate exercise price of £1 but have no
performance conditions attached apart from the continuation of employment with
the Company for three years from the date of the awards.

As a result of the recent final dividend of 6.1p the outstanding awards for
Robert Clarke and Gillian Leates have been increased as per the LTIP rules as
follows:
