NEW RELATIONSHIP AGREEMENT SIGNED

Manchester and London Investment Trust plc announces today that it has signed a
relationship agreement with its controlling shareholder, M&M Investment Company
plc.

Relationship Agreement with Controlling Shareholder

As required by LR 9.2.2A, the Company has entered into a written and legally
binding relationship agreement with its controlling shareholder, M&M Investment
Company plc, and their associates. The purpose of this agreement is to formally
ensure compliance with the independence provisions set out in LR 6.1.4D.
