MONDI launches inaugural €500 million Eurobond
Mondi is pleased to announce the successful launch of a €500 million, 7-year
Eurobond. Proceeds of the issue will be used to pay down existing bank debt.
The Eurobond matures in April 2017, has a coupon of 5.75% and an application
will be made for it to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. The joint
book-runners for the issue are Barclays, Citi, BNP Paribas and The Royal Bank
of Scotland Group plc.
The Eurobond will be issued under Mondi 's European Medium Term Note (EMTN)
programme, which is rated Baa3 by Moody's and BB+ by Standard and Poor's,
reflecting Mondi's leading market positions, well invested, low cost asset base
and consistent focus on operating efficiency and performance.
Andrew King, Mondi's Chief Financial Officer, said:

a wide group of European Institutional investors. The success of this
transaction further strengthens the Group by diversifying our sources of
funding and extending our debt maturity profile."
