Parity wins 5-year Charity Commission Contract
Parity Group plc (`Parity' or the `Group'), the IT services group, announces
that it has been awarded sole Preferred Bidder status by the Charity Commission
for a 5-year development and support contract for core business applications.
Contract negotiations are expected to be completed over the next few weeks.
Under the contract, which runs from July 2003, Parity will work in partnership
with the Charity Commission to implement its IS / IT and e-business strategies.
Parity will undertake a number of major e-business developments, in addition to
supporting current and future business applications. The contract is expected
to be worth a minimum of £5.0m over the five year period.
The first key project is the implementation of an electronic document and
records management system (EDRMS) to fully support the Charity Commission's
primary business processes, at the same time as achieving compliance with
standards set by the Public Record Office. The next stage of the project is to
run a model office to explore the business issues and opportunities presented
by the technology.
Ian Miller, Chief Executive of Parity, commented, 'We are delighted that we
have been able to extend an already strong working relationship with the
Charity Commission into a 5-year strategic partnership. In particular, we are
excited by the prospect of working with the Charity Commission on its EDRMS
project, currently a topic at the top of the agenda for most government
organisations.'
