Parity Group wins multi-year training contract with the Inland Revenue and Her
Majesty's Customs & Excise
Parity Group plc ('Parity' or 'the Group') announces that it has been awarded a
two-year framework agreement as one of the preferred suppliers of IT training
services to the Inland Revenue (IR) and Her Majesty's Customs & Excise (HMCE)
which are in the process of merging. The contract begins on 1 July 2004 for two
years with an option to extend for two further one year periods.'
Including Parity, there will be six preferred suppliers supporting the IT
training requirements of the IR and HMCE.
Parity has been a supplier of ad hoc IT training to both HMCE and the IR in the
past but this is the first multi-year training contract it has been awarded for
the combined entity.
Commenting on the contract award, Ian Miller, Chief Executive of Parity said:
'This is very positive news for Parity's Training division and for the Group as
a whole. The contract involved a competitive tendering process and our
appointment is a reflection of the quality of the work Training delivers as
well as the scale of the organisations for which it works. We look forward to
working with these two government departments under the preferred supplier
agreement.'
