New Contract Win

PHSC plc, the group that provides a range of health, safety and environmental
consultancy and training services across the UK, is pleased to announce its
biggest new contract received to date

At their meeting on 29 June 2005, the Mayor and Cabinet of the London Borough
of Lewisham agreed to award a contract to Adamson's Laboratory Services Limited
(ALS), a wholly owned subsidiary of PHSC plc. The contract is for the provision
of an asbestos management plan and for an annual asbestos monitoring service
throughout the Council's portfolio of properties. The value of the project,
which is for an initial three year term and has an option to extend for a
further two years, is £186,000 in the first year and £73,000 in years two and
three. The Council have the option to extend the contract for a further two
years and the potential total revenue is therefore £478,000 of which
approximately £332,000 is firmly committed. This represents the largest single
order in the 20-year history of ALS.

ALS was acquired by PHSC plc on 17 June 2005 and provides services that
include: asbestos surveying and management, air monitoring, health and safety
consultancy and training, and environmental consultancy. ALS is accredited by
the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for undertaking asbestos
surveys, and is licenced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in connection
with the supervision of work with asbestos materials.

The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 require those in charge of
work premises to identify any asbestos present, and to formulate a management
plan to ensure that risks of exposure are adequately controlled.
