Reckitt Benckiser Appoints Internally to                    

                              Executive Committee                              

Reckitt Benckiser group plc today announces two new internal appointments to
the Chief Executive's management executive committee.

Javed Ahmed, currently executive vice president North America and Australia, is
appointed to the lead the company's largest region, Europe, as executive vice
president Europe area, effective 1 September 2008. Prior to joining the
executive committee, Javed was senior vice president North America household.
Javed joined the company in 1992.

Rob de Groot is appointed newly to the executive committee as executive vice
president North America and Australia, effective 1 September 2008. Rob de Groot
is currently senior vice president global category officer for surface care,
dishwashing and home care, which includes air care and pest control. Prior to
this he was senior vice president region director for Eastern Europe. Rob
joined the company in 1988.

These internal appointments reflect the strength in depth of Reckitt
Benckiser's management population and its multi-cultural, international
management breadth. The executive committee of 9 compromises 7 different
nationalities.

About the two new appointees

Javed Ahmed has been with the company for 16 years and has held a number of
increasingly senior international roles. Prior to joining the executive
committee he was senior vice president (SVP) North America household, before
that SVP Northern Europe and before that general manager of the Canada
business.

Rob de Groot has been with the company for 20 years. He joined in a category
management role in the Netherlands, progressed to general manager and then
became SVP Eastern Europe before becoming global category officer for surface
care, dishwashing and home care.

About the Executive Committee

The executive committee is the Chief Executive's management committee and leads
Reckitt Benckiser Group plc, reporting via the CEO to the main Board. The
executive committee is made up of Bart Becht (Chair), CEO, Dutch; Colin Day,
chief financial officer, British, who joined the company in 2000; Javed Ahmed,
executive vice president Europe, Pakistani; Rob de Groot, executive vice
president North America Australia, Dutch; Freddy Caspers executive vice
president developing markets, who has been with the company 10 years and is
German; Rakesh Kapoor, executive vice president category development who is
Indian and joined the company in 1987; Alain Le Goff, executive vice president
supply chain and who has been with the company 21 years and is French; Gareth
Hill, senior vice president information services who is South African and
joined in 2006, and Frank Ruether, senior vice president human resources, who
is German and who joined the company in 1996.
