Reckitt Benckiser Executive Committee Change
Frank Ruether, SVP Human Resources, To Retire: Successor Announced
After a 13 year distinguished career at Reckitt Benckiser Frank Ruether, SVP
Human Resources (HR) and a member of RB's Executive Committee, is retiring from
the business, effective 1 July 2009. He is succeeded by Simon Nash, who joins
RB from Novartis Consumer Health Care.
Frank joined RB in 1996 and was made SVP HR and a member of the executive
committee in 1997. Frank was a key player in the 1999 merger of Reckitt &
Coleman and Benckiser. Post merger, he led the restructuring of the business
from a multi-local organisation into a global matrix organization of countries,
categories and functions. Importantly, he helped create RB's highly innovative
category development organization. Under his watch, RB has substantially
upgraded its bench of talent, so facilitating the company's succession
planning.
Simon Nash, currently global head of human resources, Novartis Consumer Health,
is announced as Reckitt Benckiser SVP HR. Simon has been with Novartis for
nearly 10 years and prior to that worked for Fortune Brands, Kraft, Mars and P&
G, and has worked in Switzerland, US and UK.
