    ROLLS-ROYCE SIGNS NEW TOTALCARE® SERVICE CONTRACT WITH SICHUAN AIRLINES    

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has signed a twelve-year
TotalCare® service agreement with Sichuan Airlines. The contract, valued at
US$65 million, covers support for Trent 700 engines which power 
Sichuan Airlines three Airbus A330 widebody aircraft. Deliveries of these 
aircraft, the first widebodies in the airlines fleet, commenced in 
February 2010.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Sichuan Airlines as a Rolls-Royce
TotalCare customer. Since 2000, Sichuan Airlines' ERJ-145 regional aircraft
fleet, powered by the Rolls-Royce AE3007 engine, has been supported by
TotalCare. Sichuan Airlines was also the first Chinese customer to have chosen
TotalCare to service its AE3007 engines.

Sichuan Airlines President Li Haiying said: "We have enjoyed Rolls-Royce's
TotalCare service for our regional aircraft fleet for 10 years. It is now time
to expand TotalCare coverage to our A330 widebody fleet, in order to maximise
the efficiency, flexibility and reliability of our flight operations."

Rolls-Royce, and its associated companies, now power more than 500 aircraft
across twelve different Chinese airline cusomters, including those in Hong
Kong, and Macao. In China, a total of nine airlines have chosen Rolls-Royce
TotalCare long term support service.

Sichuan Airlines is also a long-standing customer of 
International Aero Engines (IAE), a consortium in which Rolls-Royce is a 
leading shareholder. The Sichuan Airlines fleet includes the first 
Airbus A320 assembled in China at the final assembly line in Tianjin, 
powered by the IAE V2500.

    marine and energy markets in China for more than 45 years. Together with
    its associate company International Aero Engines (IAE), Rolls-Royce powers

    system solutions to China since the 1970s. In 2005, Rolls-Royce established
    its 6,000 square meter manufacturing facility in Nanhui industrial zone in

Sichuan Airlines is headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, with hubs also
located in Chongqing and Kunming. In 1995, it became the first Chinese airline
to operate the A320. The airline currently operates a fleet of more than 
52 aircraft. This include 47 IAE V2500 powered A320 family aircraft, five
Rolls-Royce AE3007 powered Embraer ERJ-145s with 26 more A320 on order, and
three A330s whose delivery started in February 2010.
