15 December 2006 BOARD APPOINTMENTS Slough Estates plc Announces the Appointment of Lesley MacDonagh as a Non-Executive Director and of Walter Hens as an Executive Director Slough Estates International is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesley MacDonagh as a Non-executive Director on the Board of Slough Estates plc. Lesley MacDonagh is currently a Director at Lovells - one of the largest and most international of the major business law firms. She will be retiring from Lovells next March. Prior to her current Directorship position at Lovells, she was Worldwide Managing Partner and prior to that she was Head of Property, Planning and Environmental Practices. The directors are also pleased to announce that Walter Hens, Slough Estates International's Managing Director, Continental Europe, is to be appointed to the main Board as an Executive Director. Having joined Lovells in 1971, Lesley became a partner in 1981, then Head of Property, Planning and Environmental Practices in 1987, then Worldwide Managing Partner from 1995 to 2005. She has been a non-executive director at the Bovis Homes Group since 2003. Until recently she was a Governor of the London School of Economics, a member of the Property Advisory Group for the UK Government and a Council Member of the Law Society - where she was also a Member of both the Property Advisory and the Planning and Environmental Law Committees. Walter Hens Managing Director, Continental Europe Responsible for the Company's o perations in Continental Europe, he is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a graduate of the University of Antwerp, Belgium. After nine years with Imofo (now Banimmo), a developer and investor in Belgium, he joined Slough Estates in 1989. He is a non-executive director of Intervest Offices, a Belgian REIT. In 2004 Walter took control of all of Slough's business in Continental European and successfully reorganised operations - with each Country Head reporting to him, and with a new headquarters in Paris. Since then Slough's Continental European operations have more than doubled in size - by both acquisition and organic expansion. A record level of over 180,000 sq m of lettings were delivered in the first half of 2006, with a further 60,000 sq m announced recently alongside an active programme of recycling stock across major European centres. Walter joined the Slough Executive Committee in September 2005. He is a Belgian citizen.
