Notice of EGM

The Directors of Slough Estates plc (the "Company") announce that the Company
will be posting to shareholders a circular containing notice of an
Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company to be held at 2:00pm on 14
December 2006 at Slough Estates plc, 234 Bath Road, Slough SL1 4EE (the "EGM").

At the EGM a special resolution will be proposed to amend the Articles of
Association for the purpose of the Slough Group converting to a UK-REIT. A copy
of the notice will be available at www.sloughestates.com.
