                           Voting Rights and Capital                           

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, and
as an update to the announcement made on 29 December 2006, the Board of Slough
Esates plc would like to notify the market of the following:

As at the close of business on 18 January 2007, Slough Estates plc (the
"company") had 472,006,837 issued ordinary shares of 25p each admitted to
trading. Each ordinary share carries the right to one vote in relation to all
circumstances at general meetings of the company. Slough Estates plc does not
hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.

The above figure 472,006,837 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders in the
company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if
they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest
in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Service Authority's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
