Serco Group plc - Director/PDMR Shareholding
Serco Group plc announces that on 3 April 2008, ahead of the commencement of
the new tax year, Christopher Hyman, Chief Executive, entered into transactions
in the Company's ordinary shares in the London market. In summary, Mr Hyman
sold 124,702 shares, and transferred a further 20,000 shares into trusts
established for the benefit of his children. Further details of these
transactions are set out below.
Serco Group plc also announces that on 4 April, 2008 Christopher Hyman's wife,
Lianne Hyman, purchased 85,564 ordinary shares in the Company in the London
market, of which 79,000 were purchased at 446 pence per share, and 6,564 were
purchased at 446.675 pence per share.
Following these transactions, Christopher Hyman has a beneficial interest (as
defined under section 346 of the Companies Act 1985) in 166,427 ordinary shares
in the Company. He also has interests through the Company's share-based
incentive schemes in a further 2,310,135 shares.
This notice is given in fulfilment of obligations under D3.1.2R and DR3.1.4(1)
(a)R.
Details of the transactions in the Company's ordinary shares entered into by Mr
Hyman were as follows:-
* He sold 24,216 shares at 449.5 pence per share arising from the exercise on
3 April 2008 of 39,078 options granted to him under the Company's 1998
Executive Option Plan at 217.5 pence per share. The remaining 14,862 shares
arising from the option exercise were transferred into trusts established
for the benefit of his children ;
* 20,060 shares vested under the Deferred Bonus Scheme on 8 March 2008, of
which he transferred 5,138 shares into trusts established for the benefit
of his children and sold the remaining 14,922 shares at 450.5 pence per
share;
* He sold a further 85,564 shares, of which 83,677 were sold at 449.75 pence
per share and 1,887 shares at 451.0 pence per share.
