Serco Group plc appoints Non-Executive Director
Serco Group plc ('Serco') today announces the appointment of David Richardson
as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. David takes up this post with
immediate effect.
David is currently Finance Director of Whitbread PLC, the FTSE100 leisure group
and has been with Whitbread for twenty years. He has performed a number of
roles for the Company including that of Strategy Director for eight years. He
was instrumental in transforming the Group from a brewing and pubs company into
the market leader that it is today in the Hotels, Restaurants and Leisure Club
sectors. David is a qualified accountant (FCA) having originally trained with
Touche Ross (Deloitte & Touche).
In addition to joining the Board, David will assume the Chairmanship of the
Audit Committee in April 2004 when Rhidian Jones stands down.
