Klipspringer Diamond Mine strike

Klipspringer Mine's Unionised Employees Strike For 20 percent Wage Increase Shares Issued and Outstanding: 61,593,793 TSX: SUF AIM: SRE TORONTO, June 9 /CNW/ - SouthernEra Resources Limited announced today that the unionised employees of the Company's 50 percent owned Klipspringer Diamond Mine have embarked on a strike following a deadlock in wage negotiations. Management of the Klipspringer Mine has rejected a package of union demands, which includes a 20 percent wage increase. The marginal nature of the Klipspringer Mine, which is exacerbated by the strength of the South African Rand, has made it impossible for the Mine to concede to the union's demands. SouthernEra Resources is an independent producer of platinum group metals and diamonds. The company also has an extensive PGM and diamond exploration program. The common shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange's AIM market.
