On 26 March 2012, awards granted on 25 February 2009 under the Spectris
Performance Share Plan to a person discharging managerial responsibilities were
exercised.  The Company was informed by the individual below of the transaction
on 26 March 2012. The awards were granted in the form of nominal cost options
with an exercise price of 5 pence per share.  The awards became exercisable on
25 February 2012 for a period of 7 years.
