This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4(1)(a).

On 28 July 2014, awards granted on 11 April 2011 under the Spectris Performance
Share Plan to a director and person discharging managerial responsibilities
were exercised.  The Company was informed by the individual below of the
transaction on 28 July 2014. The awards were granted in the form of nominal
cost options with an exercise price of 5 pence per share.  The awards became
exercisable on 11 April 2014 for a period of 7 years.
