                             AIS Agreement Signed                              

Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") is pleased to announce
that it has entered into an agreement with Koden Electronics Co Ltd ("Koden")
of Japan to supply AIS equipment (the "Agreement").

Under the terms of the Agreement SRT will supply a mixture of AIS modules and
OEM products to enable Koden to develop its own range of AIS products. Koden is
an international marine electronics company based in Japan with an established
global sales network primarily targeting commercial vessels.

Simon Tucker, SRT CEO said, "We are delighted to have entered into this
agreement with Koden and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial
relationship. Koden is a large and well known provider of commercial marine
electronics with an extensive international sales network which will now
benefit from the addition of a complete range of AIS equipment. This agreement
gives SRT direct access to the large Japanese market, where it is estimated
that approximately 100,000 vessels are expected to fit an AIS device in the
future as well as extending our existing global sales channel network."
