Receipt of Marine orders worth US$2.2 million
The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company"), the
AIM-quoted provider of digital wireless communications technology and product
solutions, are pleased to announce the expansion of its Marine division's
customer base and the receipt of orders worth US$2.2 million.
The orders are for the Company's AIS Class B PCA and OEM product solutions. It
is expected that some of the orders will be shipped within the current
financial year, however the majority are expected to be delivered during the
first quarter of the next financial year.
Confidentiality prevents the release of the customers' names. However, they are
focused on specific niche markets where AIS is being used for a variety of
commercial and homeland security applications.
Neil Peniket, Managing Director of SRT's Marine division, said; `Our evolving
range of AIS product solutions provide companies with a risk free, high quality
route into these markets. We are careful to select our customers and are
delighted to have formed long term partner relationships with these particular
customers and to have received their first orders.'
