                   Marine AIS Class B Distributor Agreements                   

The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT") are pleased to announce
that SRT has signed three Marine AIS distributor agreements.

SRT's strategy in AIS is to be the provider of the industry standard technology
platform for all AIS products. Critical to this strategy is the signing of
local distributors who have established contacts with local buyers and
authorities and are therefore able to establish preferential access to these
markets.

SRT has signed distribution contracts with the following companies:

Sevenstar Electronics - a UK based company which will use SRT's technology to
create its own AIS Class B product. SRT will receive an initial fee of
US$50,000 plus ongoing royalties on each product sold.

CSI - a South Korean based company, which has already installed the national
Korean AIS network and is now seeking to supply the domestic Korean market, for
which AIS Class B is currently being mandated.

Atlas Communications - a UAE based company which specialises in the
installation and operation of communication networks in the Middle East. Atlas
will be seeking to incorporate AIS Class B into the AIS systems which are now
being supplied.
