SURGICAL INNOVATIONS GROUP PLC
£1.5m contract extension
Surgical Innovations Group plc ('SI'), the Leeds-based designer and
manufacturer of innovative surgical devices, is pleased to announce a two year
extension of its contract with Aesculap AG & Co.KG ('Aesculap'), a division of
the German based B Braun Group, worth a minimum of £1.5m.
The contract is for the continued supply of laparoscopic single use scissors
and for a newly developed range of fully disposable laparoscopic surgical
instruments for use in abdominal surgery.
Aesculap is a leading manufacturer worldwide of surgical and diagnostic medical
equipment and has been dealing with SI since 2002.
Commenting on the deal, Graham Bowland, SI's Finance Director, said:
'We are excited about the contract extension as it not only justifies our
decision to add fully disposable instruments to our range, but also confirms
our growing partnership with Aesculap, a major force in minimally invasive
surgery worldwide.'
