                     Appointment of non-executive director                     

XP announces the appointment of Paul Dolan as a non-executive director with
immediate effect.

Paul (age 54) joined Touche Ross as a chartered accountant in 1979 becoming a
partner in 1980. He retired from the partnership in 2004. Paul specialized in
audit and assurance often acting as lead advisor to clients and acted as the
lead partner on the XP account until his retirement in 2004.

Paul worked for over 20 years with listed and large private companies in the
technology, distribution and manufacturing sectors. He was involved in advising
on stock exchange listings, acquisitions, disposals, reconstructions and
corporate governance matters.

Larry Tracey, Executive Chairman, said: "We are delighted to welcome Paul to
the Board. He brings a wealth of experience with him and is already very well
acquainted with XP's business".
