3i Group Share Capital Consolidation and Application for Admission of New B
Shares to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange
3i Group plc (the 'Company') announces that it has applied for 393,465,629
consolidated ordinary shares of 73 19/22 pence each (the 'Consolidated Ordinary
Shares') resulting from the consolidation of all the existing 462,900,740
ordinary shares of 62 69/88 pence each currently in issue and up to
636,488,517 cumulative preference shares of one penny each (the 'New B Shares')
to be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading
on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities. The
Consolidated Ordinary Shares and New B Shares are expected to be admitted to the
Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange at 8.00am on 16 July
2007.
In addition, the Company announces that it has made a block listing application
for 4,155,421 Consolidated Ordinary Shares. These represent the existing block
listed and unissued shares which may fall to be issued under the Company's share
schemes, following the expected consolidation of the Company's share capital
from ordinary shares of 62 69/88 pence each into Consolidated Ordinary
Shares.
