On 18 May 2011, 3i Group plc (the "Company") was notified that on 13 May 2011 Sir Adrian Montague, the Chairman of the Board (and a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities) acquired 20,000 ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ("Shares") at 291.71p per Share.

The transaction took place on the London Stock Exchange.
