Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC

The Company confirms that following the recent conversion of 1,517,404 units of Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2019 ("CULS") in the period to 31 May 2013, 182,787 Ordinary shares of 25p each ("Ordinary Shares") have been admitted to the Official List and dealings in the new shares have commenced today.

Following this issue, the Company's Ordinary share capital consists of 38,742,659 Ordinary shares of which 1,076,290 are Treasury shares and therefore there are 37,666,369 Ordinary shares in issue with 33,288,414 units of CULS outstanding.

37,666,369 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
