Declaration of Fourth Interim Dividend
The Directors of the Company have today declared a fourth quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year ended 31 December 2012 of 2.5p per Ordinary share of No Par Value (2012: 2.25p). The four quarterly dividends paid or payable in respect of the year to 31 December 2012, therefore total 7.15p.
This represents an increase of 5.9%, from 6.75p per Ordinary share, on the total dividends paid in respect of the year to 31 December 2011. The fourth interim dividend will be payable on 18 February 2013 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 18 January 2013, ex-dividend date 16 January 2013.
In respect of the year ending 31 December 2013 and in the absence of unforeseen circumstances, the Board expects to maintain the current practice of declaring three quarterly dividends of equal amounts in April, July and October with a fourth balancing interim to be determined in early 2014.
The amount of net income attributable to the C Shares since their issue on 16 November 2012 has not been significant and the Directors do not intend to declare a dividend in respect of the C Shares. Accordingly, in accordance with the conversion mechanics set out in the Prospectus dated 22 October 2012 the net asset value of the C Shares to be used to determine the number of Ordinary shares arising on conversion of the C Shares will be inclusive of the net income.
