Listing Application

Application has been made by Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Limited (the "Company") to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange Plc for a total of 250,000 Ordinary shares of no par value each ("Ordinary Shares") to be admitted to the Official List, and dealings are expected to commence on 18 August 2011.

The listing application has been made following the issue of 250,000 Ordinary shares on 15 August 2011.

The new Ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company. 

Following this issue of shares, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue is 135,128,071 with each Ordinary share holding one voting right.  Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 135,128,071 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
