Declaration of Third Interim Dividend

The Directors of the Company have today declared a third interim dividend in respect of the year ending 31 December 2023 of 2.50p (2022: 2.30p) per Ordinary share of No Par Value. The dividend will be payable on 24 November 2023 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 27 October 2023, ex-dividend date 26 October 2023.

The Board is aware of the importance of dividends to shareholders and is pleased to reiterate that, in the absence of unforeseen circumstances, it is its intention to declare a total dividend of at least 10.60p per Ordinary share in respect of the year to 31 December 2023, equating to a dividend yield of 5.4% based on the closing share price of 196.5p on 9 October 2023.

The level of the remaining dividend for 2023 will be considered following the next quarter end, at which point an announcement will be made by the Company. There are healthy revenue reserves built up by the Company that the Board will consider using as appropriate. Any decision as to whether revenue reserves will be utilised (and by how much) will be taken at the time of the declaration of the fourth interim dividend in January 2024.

The Company operates a Dividend Reinvestment Plan ("DRIP") which is managed by the registrar, Link Group, and the deadline for elections under the DRIP will be 3 November 2023.
