ABERDEEN EMERGING MARKETS INVESTMENT COMPANY LIMITED ("the Company")

TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

In accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of ordinary shares of 1p of the Company in issue (excluding treasury shares) at 31 July 2016 was 51,876,229, with each share holding one voting right.

There were also 2,742,278 ordinary shares in Treasury.

The above figure (51,876,229) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
