Retirement of Non-executive Director

The Directors of Aberdeen Standard Equity Income Trust plc (the "Company") hereby confirms the retirement of Josephine Dixon from the Board with effect from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting held earlier today. 

The Directors wish to record their sincere thanks to Josephine for her significant contribution to the Board as a Director  since 2011, and as Chairman of the Audit Committee since 2013.

Sarika Patel, who was appointed on 1 November 2019, will succeed Josephine Dixon as Chairman of the Audit Committee with immediate effect.
