Board Appointment

The Board of Aberdeen Latin American Income Fund Limited ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Hazel Adam as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.  Hazel was appointed from a shortlist of strong candidates compiled by an independent search consultancy.

Richard Prosser, Chairman, commented on the appointment:

"I would like to welcome Hazel to the Board.  Hazel has over 20 years experience in the fund management and investment banking industries.

After leaving Standard Life Investments in 2005, she joined Goldman Sachs International, as an executive director on the Emerging Market equities desk. She subsequently worked at HSBC Holdings plc, as a director on the Emerging Market equities desk.

Having both buy and sell side experience affords her a unique perspective on global markets and investment strategies.  She holds the Financial Times Non-Executive Directors Diploma."

Ms Adam currently has no beneficial interests in the shares of the Company.

There are no disclosures required under Section 9.6.13R (1) to (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority Listing Rules.
