The Board of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Heather Manners as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 May 2012.

Commenting on the appointment Mr Alan Henderson, Chairman of the Company said:

"I am delighted to welcome Heather to the board of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC. She has significant investment management expertise and an excellent working knowledge of the Far East. Her skills are particularly relevant to the Company and will complement the existing strengths of the Board."

Ms Manners is Chief Investment Officer at Prusik Investment Management. Prior to that, she was Head of Asia and Emerging Markets at Henderson Global Investors.
