The Board of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") today announces that David Shearer will stand down as Chairman (and a Director) of the Company with effect from the end of its next Annual General Meeting, expected to be held 4 September 2019.

Mr Shearer became a Director of the Company in January 2007 and subsequently became Chairman in August 2012. He will be succeeded as Chairman by Donald Workman who joined the Board in October 2018.

Commenting upon the announcement Mr Shearer said "I am pleased to be handing over to Donald, who has a wealth of commercial experience including significant involvement in businesses throughout the Asia Pacific region."
