Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Aberdeen New India Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Robson as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 August 2022. Andrew was appointed following a search conducted by an independent recruitment consultancy.

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, with a background in investment banking and as a finance director. Andrew is a non-executive director of both BlackRock Energy and Resources Income Trust PLC and Baillie Gifford China Growth Trust PLC (formerly Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc).

Andrew was a director of Robert Fleming & Co Limited and SG Hambros and finance director at eFinancialGroup Limited and the National Gallery. In the last five years, Andrew has been a non-executive director of JP Morgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc, Shires Income plc and Mobeus Income & Growth 4 PLC. Andrew is also a former non-executive director of British Empire Securities & General Trust plc.

There are no other disclosures required to be made for Andrew Robson in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13R (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.

Andrew Robson does not hold any interest in the Company's shares.
