Issue of equity

The Board of Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust PLC (the "Company") has today issued, subject to listing, 243,589 Ordinary 25p Shares following elections by holders of the Company's 3.5% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2018 ("CULS") to convert GBP 577,944 nominal of CULS. The Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares.

It is expected that admission to the Official List and commencement of dealings in these Ordinary Shares on the London Stock Exchange will take place at 8.00 a.m. on 10 October 2014.

Following admission, there will be 71,627,175 Ordinary Shares, with voting rights, and GBP 20,006,506 nominal of CULS in issue.
