RESULT OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust PLC (the "Company") hereby gives notification that, at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, Tuesday 13 October 2009, all the resolutions, as set out in full in the Notice of Meeting contained in the Annual Report which was sent to shareholders on 12 September 2009, were duly passed.
