                DAWMED AWARDED CONTRACTS IN EXCESS OF £1 MILLION

The Board of DawMed Systems plc ('DawMed' or 'the Company'), the medical devices
company which designs, manufactures,  sells and services washer-disinfector-
dryers used in the Sterile Services Departments of NHS Trust hospitals, private 
hospitals and clinics, announces today that it has secured two significant
Hospital Trust contracts, for the supply of  the Company's products and related
accessories, with a combined value exceeding £1 million.

The first contract, which is for the manufacture and installation of DawMed's
BETA II washer-disinfector-dryers and  related accessories, marks the Company's
largest single order in its history. The contract will enable The Royal 
Victoria Hospital Trust to meet its needs for automatic washing, disinfection
and drying of surgical instruments, prior  to the final process of
sterilisation, in its new Central Decontamination Unit, which is currently
undergoing  construction on its site in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In addition, DawMed has just received a noteworthy order from The Royal
Glamorgan Hospital Trust, based in Wales, for  the supply and installation of a
range of the Company's Wassenburg flexible endoscope washer-disinfector
products.

DawMed's washer-disinfector-dryer product range, for use in secondary care
hospitals and primary care surgeries and clinics, were conceived to ensure the
automatic washing, disinfection and drying of surgical instruments, hollowware,
rigid and flexible endoscopes, instrument trays et al to enable effective
sterilisation thereafter. The whole range of DawMed WDDs complies with all UK
and imminent European standards and carries the CE Mark.

Commenting on today's announcement, Kevin Gilmore, Executive Chairman of DawMed,

continuing focus on improving all Divisions of the Company to drive the future
growth and profitability of the business forward, in line with my statement in
the Company's December 2004 Preliminary Announcement.'
