                  Admiral appoints new non executive director



The Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Gillian Wilmot (45) to the
position of Non-Executive Director of the Board with immediate effect. Mrs
Wilmot will also join the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee from the
date of this appointment.




Alastair Lyons, Group Chairman, said: 'I am delighted that following an
extensive search, we have been able to appoint Gillian Wilmot to the Board.
Gillian has valuable experience in consumer-facing industries which will
complement those of the existing team.'



Pursuant to paragraph 6.F.2 (a) of the UKLA Listing Rules Gillian Wilmot has
been a director of the following companies in the last five years:
