ADVFN.COM PLC ('ADVFN' or the 'Company')

ISSUE OF EQUITY AND WARRANTS

ADVFN announces the issue of 1,177,151 ordinary shares, fully paid at 2.085p,
and 294,288 warrants to subscribe for ADVFN ordinary shares, at an exercise
price of 2.085p over the next three years, to GEM Global Yield Fund Limited,
pursuant to the equity line of credit provided to the Company by GEM Global
Yield Fund Limited and GEM Advisors Inc., details of which were announced on 24
January 2002.

Application has been made for these ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on
the Alternative Investment Market ('AIM').  These shares will rank pari passu
with the existing ordinary shares of the Company and dealings are expected to
commence on 21 February 2002.  No application is being made for the warrants to
be traded on AIM.
