ADVFN.COM PLC ('the Company')

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for 4,600,000 new
ordinary shares of 1p each, fully paid in the Company to be admitted following
a placing for cash.  The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu in all
respects with the existing issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Admission to trading is expected to become effective from Friday 31 August
2001.
